BOHO CAMP INSPIRED WEDDING PHOTOS
THE KORTSEN’S BEST BOHO CAMP WEDDING PHOTOS
I don’t think I will ever forget the day Gianni and Jonah inquired explaining their upcoming boho camp inspired wedding. She described her wedding day full of wildflowers, handmade details, moccasins, at a camp site in the little mountain town near Idyllwild. I remember being so incredibly excited hearing about G+J’s wedding plans, I knew I had to be apart of it. Well, the day finally came. Let’s just say G+J over delivered. I left their wedding with my heart full of joy. G+J and their family’s came together to pour their heart and soul into their wedding day. I know I’ve said it so many times but I am truly honored I get to capture such beautiful love stories.
The Sweetest Ceremony
G+J’s wedding venue is somewhat unconventional. The ceremony site was the exact spot that G+J first heard each other’s laugh many years ago at Church camp. They selected their venue because their Church camped at the exact location every year and that’s where they connected. They both recalled that their venue was where their relationship, bond, and love for one another was formed.
Their wedding ceremony was one of the most sentimental wedding ceremony’s I have had the honor of documenting from the details to the ceremony itself. The macrame backdrop, Gianni’s grandmother hand wove to create one of the most stunning macrame pieces I’ve seen. Also, Gianni’s mom created her bouquet the night before with gorgeous wildflowers that tied together G+J’s boho camp wedding inspiration. Even to the rings G+J exchanged that Gianni’s Uncle crafted. And you MUST see, Gianni’s dance with her Grandpa during the reception. As a grandpa’s girl at heart, my eyes welled with tears silently behind my camera.
G+J decided to forego a traditional wedding party and instead they had the women from both sides of the family paired by two walk down the aisle to take their seat. Then, they had a Messianic wedding ceremony that incorporated beautiful traditional elements including 8 blessings read by key family members, Gianni encircling her groom 7 times, and their mom’s signing their ketubah as witnesses. And, the biggest tear jerk-er for me was when G+J handed out single white roses to their mom’s and grandma’s. I was quietly hiding behind my camera with tears running down my face thinking of the day my kids get married.
