Mt. Woodson Castle Wedding
Brian and Shane’s Mt. Woodson Castle Wedding
I met Brian and Shane during their sunrise proposal at Sunset Cliffs last October. Shane’s mom, Deborah, along with Brian arranged a couples session with myself, little did Shane know this would be the first day of the rest of their lives together. I’m not even kidding–Brian and Deborah told Shane that I was a “new photographer” and I was “practicing”. Shane was wearing an off the shoulder maroon dress and Brian was wearing a white button up with black jeans. As soon as we began, they were sprayed by a rouge wave. During Shane and Brian’s proposal, it became apparent to me that these two were made for each other. They fit into each other’s arms like puzzle pieces and the chemistry they shared was undeniable.
When Shane and Brian asked me to capture their Mt. Woodson Castle wedding, I was overflowed with joy. Brian and Shane are by far one of the sweetest, loving, genuine people you will meet. They make you feel like they’ve known you their whole life the first time they meet you. Shane is warm and bubbly and Brian is quiet and affectionate. I love all my couples dearly but Shane and Brian will always hold a special place in my heart. The Jenkin’s wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle was filled with so much love and warmth.
Brian and Shane have such undeniable love for one another. Brian and Shane both swiped right while Brian was serving in Iraq for the United States Marine Corps while Shane was visiting Iceland on vacation. In a few short weeks, Brian will be heading to Japan for two years while Shane finishes her degree at UCSD. I may not know Shane and Brian that well. However, the one thing I do know that if anyone could handle that test, it is them. I have no doubt that this will be challenging and will test their marriage but after their Mt. Woodson Castle wedding, I know without doubt they will overcome this challenge and they have such a beautiful support system behind them. I cannot wait to see what is in store for the Jenkin’s.
