My first OFFICIAL Texas wedding. You heard me. FIRST OFFICIAL TEXAS WEDDING. I am beyond thrilled. Taylor reached out to me early May about her very intimate elopement in Galveston Texas. They originally were planning for a winter wedding but decided to heck with it and get married while on vacation! As a Californian, I did not know what to expect from a Texas beach. I will first say — it was different. The streets of Galveston are lined with communities of colorful charming homes on stilts. There was something so nostalgic and childlike about Galveston that drew me in. Then, I noticed there was cars in the sand. You read that right. CARS IN THE SAND. Surprised was an understatement.

Enough about Galveston. Let me tell you about Taylor and Jake’s casual elopement in Galveston Texas. When Taylor first reached out to me early May, we instantly clicked. Taylor and Jake are some of the most kind, loving, yet quirky duo. These two are people you want on your team. During our time together, I was able to witness first hand how much love these two have for one another. Even with all the nerves, lots of sarcasm, some tears, and laughter, at the end of the day, Taylor and Jake’s Galveston elopement was perfect.

Thinking back to their casual elopement in Galveston Texas it seemed like the absolutely perfect way for them to exchange vows to one another. Taylor wore a simple black summer dress. The same dress she met Jake at Texas Roadhouse by happenstance. They were both surrounded by the ones who mattered most to them besides Jake’s brother who sadly couldn’t make it.  Afterwards, we ended our time by watching one of the most gorgeous sunsets, dancing to Outkast, and catching waves. Lemme tell ya — Jake and Taylor got some dance moves!
