It’s couples like Sam and Hannah that remind me why I love what I do. I love that I am able to capture these special moments for couples to cherish for generations to come. Capturing wedding proposals is one of my favorite moments to capture — it’s the real reel. There is no posing. There is no prompting. It is just genuine, raw, unaltered emotion. There are so many romantic places around Dallas for wedding proposals, however, sometimes the best proposals happen at places that are special to the two of you.
This Dallas wedding proposal was no different. These two are the sweetest and they have such a genuine love for each other and the people in their lives. Hannah’s mom and sister contacted me a couple of days before Sam planned to propose to Hannah at her parents home outside of Dallas. Hannah’s mom know how important it was to secretly capture these moments for the two of them. Sam flew all the way from South Carolina to surprise Hannah! He reenacted their first date, read a special letter, then proposed with his late mom’s wedding ring. After she said yes, they walked around the property to see where Sam hung photos of them throughout their relationship and we took a few portraits around the property.
Afterwards, we headed over to Hannah’s brothers house, where Sam and Hannah’s families were waiting to celebrate their “surprise” engagement. Being able to capture memories like this is why I truly LOVE this job. I really love love. It was such an intimate get together and Sam and Hannah have the sweetest and most loving families. It is so obvious how much these two are loved and supported. What a wonderful group of people to be surrounded by!
Hannah and Sam, super excited for you two! It was such a joy to capture this moment for y’all, and we hope you two had a blast celebrating!

My request might be unconventional…. My partner and I have been together almost two years. We met at a food event November 2021 and are currently expecting our first son. We plan to sign our marriage license at a friends restaurant November 5th, but aren’t planning a “wedding ceremony” with guests as my partner is attention avoidant, awkward, and doesn’t like his photo being taken. I will convince him to take a few standard photos here, but I’d like to discuss with you a “secret reception”. After we sign the papers, we’ll attend the food festival that afternoon where we met 2 years prior. I am wondering if you could do some “undercover” photography without my husband knowing while at the event. We’ll run in to and be able to catch up with all our friends and co workers, as we are in the food industry. Almost treating it like our reception. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
