I started looking for just a style that I liked, and then the values of the person we chose were very important to us. I wanted to make sure we got someone that would know how to pose bodies of all shape and be comfortable with LBGTQ+ people. First I was drawn in by Kyrsten’s photography style – her editing was beautiful! I believe I first found her through referrals from the wedding planners and went to Instagram to check everything out but as we started talking to her we fell in love! She helped me get my shit together for our shoots and calmed my nerves.

The attention to detail that K+R (coughthegroomcough) put into each and every detail was top notch. There was no stone left unturned. They quite literally thought of everything. It was also personal to them as a couple and their love for good food, quality coffee, the Scottish whiskey tradition during their ceremony and elevated and modern reception details.
Their unexpected color scheme especially during Autumn. I get to photograph so many color schemes several times a year but I think this was my first time having green as the primary color. And, you know how I love a break from tradition especially during busy season. I especially loved the mix-matched green dresses and dark green ties.
Lastly, K+R themselves. They truly know how to make you feel like an old friend. We instantly connected during their engagement session (that you can see here!) so, on their wedding day they fully trusted my vision even when I told K to take off her shoes and run down the drive way of D’Vine Grace Vineyard.
