A Night Lit by Love & Disco Balls: A Vibrant Wedding at The Westin Downtown Dallas

Some weddings are like a warm embrace, filled with intimate moments and quiet joy. Brooke + Connor’s celebration, however, was a vibrant explosion of energy, a testament to their love for life and their larger-than-life personalities. To know them is to love them. From the elegant ceremony at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church to the electrifying reception at The Westin Downtown Dallas, their wedding was a party unlike any other.

Let the Party Begin: A Ballroom Transformed

Stepping into The Westin Downtown Dallas ballroom for the reception was like entering a scene straight out of a fever dream (in the best way possible!). Vibrant jewel tones – pinks, purples, teal, and black and white – dominated the décor, with disco balls reflecting a dazzling array of light across the room. Lush arrangements of roses by Haute Floral added a touch of classic elegance, perfectly complementing the playful energy of the space.

But the true stars of the reception were Brooke, Connor, and of course, the legendary Emerald City Band. A band the brides parents frequented in their high school days, Emerald City brought the party in a way that had everyone, young and old, hitting the dance floor. The infectious energy was palpable, and the dance floor remained packed throughout the night.

We also loved the personal touches Brooke + Connor added throughout their day. Such as, Connor’s groom’s cake by Sugar Ray’s Bake Shop. Lovingly crafted and lined with KitKats – his favorite candy – it was a playful nod to his personality and a detail that his friends and family absolutely loved. And, we can’t forget about the  koozies with Brooke’s beloved pug, Oliver, face imprinted saying “I do, too” since he couldn’t be apart of the party.

Our goal wasn’t just to capture posed photographs; it was to document the infectious energy and unbridled joy that permeated the entire evening. From the tearful toasts to the wild dance moves, every photo overflowed with genuine emotion and the sheer exuberance of love celebrated.
