CALIFORNIA CITRUS STATE HISTORIC PARK ENGAGEMENT
SEAN AND LAUREN’S BEST CALIFORNIA CITRUS STATE HISTORIC PARK ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
Before their session, I sent them an engagement questionnaire so I could really get to know Lauren and Sean. That way when we finally met the day of their engagement session we felt like old friends! We instantly connected over our love of champagne, good drinks, and good food. One of my favorite moment’s during their engagement session was listening to Sean’s stories. Also, hand’s down they did the best “drunken stumble” and “boomerang” I have ever seen. It was such a wonderful time getting lost in the orange groves with Lauren and Sean. They’re romantic rustic wedding at Mile High Oaks this summer is going to be a blast!
Sean and Lauren decided on the beautiful California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside for their engagement session since they met in Riverside during graduate school. There is nothing more “Riverside” than the orange groves! We spent the warm late afternoon photographing in the orange groves. My favorite part about the California Citrus Park is the yummy smell of citrus that surrounds you. The smell of the orange groves was incredibly energizing and refreshing. This was a perfect place for them to enjoy their session!

How did Sean and Lauren meet?
These love birds met through their biology grad school program. Lauren and Sean started dating about a month after Lauren joined the program the Fall semester in 2015. They both have overlapping professional interest and share a “that’s what she said” sense of humor. Sean was so sweet and even said – “Overall, I love Lauren because we fit together”. I mean, how darn sweet is that?!
How did he propose?
After nearly 3 years together, Sean proposed to Lauren on a weekend trip to the mountains last September. Sean proposed with not just one but TWO rings. The first one (showed above) and then a family heirloom. How romantic is that?! Afterwards, they celebrated with a fancy bottle of champagne from France during sunset. These two really love their champagne. Sean planned the whole thing out, and although Lauren had some suspicions the day of, the moment of the proposal was one of the most exciting of her life.
