The Brooks at Weatherford is a beautiful wedding venue nestled in the rolling hills of Weatherford, Texas. It’s the perfect place for couples who want to celebrate their love in a rustic and elegant setting. This wedding at the Brooks at Weatherford brought an explosion of color, personality, and creativity that truly made M+N’s special day truly unforgettable. The bride herself is also a talented artist, and wasn’t afraid to use her creativity in her wedding design.
How the Couple Fused Their Personalities into the Wedding Design
M+N wanted their wedding to be a reflection of their personalities and their love for each other. One way they personalized their wedding was by incorporating their love of birds into the design by with their seating chart and table numbers. The bride also incorporated her love of art into the wedding design. M used her artistic skills to create many of the wedding details herself such as the wedding invitations and signage. She also painted a large canvas of The Brooks at Weatherford that was displayed at the reception.
The couple also didn’t shy away from color and, in fact, embraced it wholeheartedly. Since M is a bold and vibrant artist, she chose yellow bridesmaid dresses with the cutest pastel purple heels. The couple also used a variety of bold colors in their wedding décor and florals. As you’ll see, the tables at the reception were decorated with brightly colored flowers and a variety of pastel candles that matched.
Elevated Guest Experience
M+N were not just focused on celebrating their love; they were equally committed to ensuring their guests had a memorable experience. They went above and beyond to make sure that everyone had a wonderful time. The couple thoughtfully incorporated interactive dinner stations, adding a unique and engaging element to the evening.
But the excitement didn’t stop there. The night was set on fire by a talented band that kept the dance floor full all night long. It was evident that the guests loved dancing and singing along to their favorite songs. To add a fun and quirky touch, light-up cowboy hats were handed out to the guests, making the night even more memorable.
The couple’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail made their wedding a truly unforgettable experience for their guests. It was a celebration of love, not only between the couple but also with all those who joined in the festivities, creating a beautiful memory that would last a lifetime.
Trusting Their Wedding Photographer
M+N fully trusted me to use my artistic skills in capturing their wedding. They gave me full creative control in the photography department, and I was so grateful for their trust. This level of trust is always a dream come true, and it truly allowed us to capture the essence of their unique and colorful celebration. Going into their wedding day I knew I wanted to capture the beauty of the day, as well as the unique personalities of M+N. I used a variety of techniques to create images that were both artistic and candid. And the results are stunning.
M+N’s wedding at The Brooks at Weatherford was a truly special day. The Brooks at Weatherford provided a stunning backdrop for this vibrant spring wedding and perfectly encapsulated their vision. The couple’s creativity and love for each other shone through in every detail of their wedding. Their wedding was a perfect example of how to fuse your personalities into your wedding design and create a day that is both unique and unforgettable.

N+M advice to wedding planning couples:
Learn what you want and what you don’t want. There were so many times where I was asked by my wedding planner, “what do you want for ___?” And, I had no idea, which made it super difficult. So it seems so simple, but really looking at Pinterest and other people’s weddings is so helpful when figuring out what you like and what you don’t. Also, not wanting something at all is also an answer. When asked “do you want this, or that?” It’s okay to say “neither.”
Hire a wedding planner or at LEAST someone to run the day.
what made N+M choose kap as their wedding photographer for their spring wedding at The Brooks at Weatherford:
“I wanted art, someone who had an artistic eye and knew how to capture moments in a beautiful and unique way while maintaining all the technical skills, as well. I wanted to avoid photographs that weren’t edited properly.”
what N+M said about being a kap couple:
“You are PHENOMENAL. Seriously so freaking talented. And everyone— EVERYONE – keeps saying so as well. Your photographs caught my eye first, and then when meeting you over zoom it just all felt right. I loved your personality and I felt like we clicked well. When wedding planning, I quickly realized how important that was. Our photos are stunning. We can’t stop raving about them. I love ALL of them!!!!”
