DANIEL AND REVAYA’S BEST TEXAS DISCOVERY GARDENS ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
Oh my goodness, it feels so good to be blogging again. If you follow me on social media you know that I was in Dallas all last week house hunting. My family and I were there for five days and within those five days I did SIX sessions. WHOOOOOA! I cannot wait to share all of them but for now — here is Daniel + Revaya’s engagement session at the Texas Discovery Gardens.
Daniel and Revaya are one of my first North Texas couples! I am getting so excited for their October 2019 wedding at The Grove and Communion Neighborhood Cooperative. AKA a really awesome coffee shop and restaurant. They learned such a valuable lesson during their engagement session at the Texas Discovery Gardens — TRUST YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. The day before I left for Texas, after checking the weather, we noticed terrible rain during their engagement session originally planned at White Rock Lake. Frantically, I started searching for indoor locations that we could possibly use. Remember — I am not from Dallas. Thank goodness for Pinterest and trusty Google. I stumbled across the Butterfly House at the Texas Discovery Gardens in Dallas and I knew that this was the location.
Now, let me take you to about three hours before their engagement session. My family and I are sitting at lunch when all of a sudden we look at the front door of Oni Ramen (GO TRY IT) starts leaking water. HOLY SHIT. I tell Paul that we gotta go. There is NO way we were getting stuck being 15 minutes away from the session because of rain. We ran to the car. Drove to Texas Discovery Gardens. Sat in the parking lot. Here I am thinking this rain won’t be terrible. It’s just rain. I WAS WRONG. It was the worst rain I have ever ever ever experienced. Our SUV was being pushed in the winds. Quarter sized hail was falling from the sky. And, the rain was pouring so hard it sounded like gallon buckets being dropped.
I am still astonished that these two showed up completely un-phased by the rain and ready to ROCK their engagement session at the Butterfly House in the Texas Discovery Gardens. I cannot wait to see these two again in July to explore White Rock Lake for Part 2 of their engagement session. We laughed so hard the whole time and talked about banana pie and the best restaurants. I cannot wait to get more insider scoop on all the best coffee shops and restaurants because you know your girl already has her yelp collections started!
