Originally we were supposed to do Baxter Park & South Congress. However, (thankfully) the universe had other plans.

As I pulled into the parking lot for Zilker Park, I decided to keep driving to see where the road would take me. HOLY HEAVENS. I found the most gorgeous golden light coming through the trees and a creek bed. Literally on the side of the road. I’m sure J&M thought I was a liiiiiitle crazy when I told them to follow me and we parked. And this is why it’s so important to trust your photographer & their vision. Sometimes the best locations aren’t locations you’ll find listed on Google.

Honestly, 90% of this session was about trust. Trust random locations on the side of the road. Trust that we’ll be able to get great images with a busssssssssssy park on a Sunday afternoon with perfect weather literally FACING the sun. Is it ideal? Absolutely not. Were we able to create beautiful photos? Heck yes. That’s why hiring a professional who is confident in all lighting situations is key! And lastly, trusting your photographer when they say run across the street.

This is exactly why I say find a photographer you vibe with and shares your vision. It’s a team effort.

Cannot wait for J&M January 2023 wedding at Camino Real Ranch (which is a toooootal vibe!!!)!
