Romantic Moody Fall Wedding at The Mason Dallas

what E+A had to say about being a kap couple:

“I could go on about her but I’ll try to be brief – Kyrsten was absolutely incredible at making me and my now-husband feel comfortable in our own skin. We talked on the phone when I first reached out and immediately hit it off, which was easy because she is sassy and says it like it is which I absolutely love. She took our engagement photos on the hottest day of the summer and we had a blast even with sweat dripping down our backs. She had us laughing the whole time and we even wound up in a fountain!

I did bridal portraits with her a month before my wedding and it gave me so much peace of mind to know what to expect for the wedding day and to see how everything photographed. At our wedding, Kyrsten worked quickly to get through our large families while keeping the peace amid the chaos. We are obsessed with our engagement photos and my bridal portraits and are anxiously awaiting our wedding photos! I can not recommend Kyrsten enough – but make sure you book her early, she books up fast! Her personality is infectious and her tips and tricks for creating natural smiles and laughter are the funniest!

E+A advice to wedding planning couples:

Book your vendors super early, and then take time to relax and enjoy your engagement once that stress is behind you!

A great planner is vital – the planner can make or break your day. Spend extra time interviewing and make sure you choose someone you click with. Something will go wrong on the wedding day- if you have a good planner, it will already be handled by the time you find out about it, and it will be a good story!

When it comes to photography, comfort with light levels is important. Talk with them about the lighting at your venue and your goal for photos and make sure that the lighting level is something they are comfortable with. (She said it–not me, I promise!)

No matter how much you plan ahead, the week of the wedding will be chaotic – just lean into it and enjoy the ride!

Wear bike shorts under your dress if you can.

favorite feature of E+A’s moody fall wedding at The Mason:

E+A put so much thought into every single detail of their wedding from their decor, to how the seating chart was created, to the music during the ceremony.

E did a few things outside of tradition such as instead of the traditional ‘giving away the bride’, it was adjusted to ‘who takes this bride to join their family and vice versa, which involved both families in the moment rather just the father of the bride.

The dance floor was WIIIIIIIILD. Ya’ll know I live for a wild dance party and E+A guests showed up to enjoy every single moment. I’ve never seen such a lit dance floor all night long.

Bet this won’t surprise you but…the florals. Drool worthy. One of the most beautiful bouquet’s I’ve ever photographed.

This has nothing to do with E+A’s wedding but….I absolutely adore E+A. They are so much more to me than a KAP Couple. They may have started as a couple but they have quickly become friends. E+A are infectious. It is no wonder that their guests came to celebrate them. They are simply the most kind, fun, and warm people you will meet.
