It includes generous, comfortable seating for the full wedding party, a three-paneled full-length mirror that creates a natural focal point for portraits, vanity mirrors and high stools positioned for hair and makeup, and built-in cabinetry for stowing bags and personal belongings. That last detail matters more than most couples realize — a clutter-free getting-ready space produces cleaner, more editorial images without any extra effort.

Additionally, the suite has a live feed monitor showing the chapel, so the bridal party can watch the ceremony processional begin without leaving the room. This is a thoughtful touch that adds genuine ease to an otherwise rushed wedding morning moment.

The room is long and white, with permanent wooden pews running the full length of the aisle to a slightly raised platform. The high vaulted ceiling carries an Old World cathedral quality that gives even minimally decorated ceremonies a sense of grandeur and permanence.

Soaring 18-foot ceilings create an immediate sense of occasion. Six crystal chandeliers hang throughout the room, each one casting warm, flattering light across the space at every angle. The walls are a deep, sophisticated charcoal-grey with gold trim — a color combination that serves as a genuinely neutral backdrop for any palette while adding depth and dimension that a plain white room simply cannot offer. Dark hardwood flooring runs the full length of the space.

The ballroom accommodates up to 250 guests including a dance floor. The champagne Chiavari chairs are comfortable and photogenic. The Montclair looks grand. The ceilings soar, the ballroom impresses, and the exterior carries a scale that photographs like a European estate. But the actual footprint of the property is beautifully contained. As a result, portrait time at The Montclair is some of the most efficient and enjoyable of any venue I work at. We are never rushing across 66 acres or loading into a golf cart to reach the next location. Instead, we move easily between the ivy-covered terrace, the foyer staircase, and the chapel — all within steps of each other. That compactness means more portrait variety in less time. And more time for portraits means a fuller, richer gallery.

The inside is just as beautiful as the outside.

At many DFW venues, bad weather is a genuine threat to portrait quality. When rain arrives unexpectedly, couples lose their outdoor locations and photographers scramble for interior alternatives that were never designed with photography in mind.
