“Trust me when I say she is the best of the best! I am a VERY detail oriented person. When I was planning my wedding, I gave (probably too much) attention to every detail and researched everything thoroughly. Selecting vendors was no exception. I looked through dozens upon dozens of photographers and chose Kyrsten for many reasons and I would choose her over and over again! I was drawn to her photography style, her authenticity, and when I was reading through some of her blogs, it was completely apparent that she loves what she does and has spent so much time perfecting her talents. This came through every interaction from our engagement photos to wedding day. When we first met her for our engagement photos, she instantly made us feel comfortable. She gives awesome directions and poses, has great creative vision, and is so professional and organized yet has the ability to make you feel like a friend instantly. She is on top of everything! We had an issue with our timeline and she was honest, talked us through, gave us options and helped come up with a solution. Come wedding day, she was on time, stayed until our grand exit, and took care of us all day. Beyond capturing the biggest day of our lives, she would check in on me and make sure I was doing okay. I never felt like we were ‘just another wedding’ to her (maybe that’s weird to say but sometimes, unfortunately, you do get some vendors like that… Let’s be honest. Everyone wants their special day to feel like it’s special to everyone else too). Even our guests were impressed with her and that she stayed until the end! She captured the beauty of so many moments so perfectly. I will trust Kyrsten again in the future for all my photography needs!“

S+D advice to wedding planning couples:

Put your heart in all the details but don’t sweat the small stuff. If you’re having a hard time choosing, imagine yourself and your fiancé in the moment with this detail, whether its a song, the dress, or whatever it is. You’ll definitely have an emotional reaction. Go with it! This will make so many decisions quicker and easier because you’ll realize no matter what, you will be feeling all the feelings you want to feel in this moment. You can’t choose wrong. There is no wrong first dance song. You’ll remember the song and feeling forever and it will be special no matter what. There is no wrong wedding dress He will still think you’re beautiful and everyone will gush about how much you glow. Just know something will inevitably go wrong.

favorite feature of S+D’s elegant wedding at Hillside Estate:

First, I have to mention that this day Dallas was experiencing torrential rain. This day would not have been possible without S+D’s “I fully trust you it is what it is” energy. So even though we weren’t able to use the lush greenery and the sprawling landscapes that Hillside Estate is known for, S+D’s wedding photos did not suffer. Because it’s not just the natural beauty that makes Hillside Estate stand out. The estate itself is a masterpiece of architecture, with elegant lines and a timeless design that will make your wedding photos look like they were taken straight out of a fairytale. From the grand entrance to the charming reception hall, every inch of this venue exudes luxury and sophistication which made it perfect for having to take all portraits inside.

S+D’s first look watching S walk down the elegant staircase at Hillside Estate was truly a princess fairytale moment. If I had to redo S+D’s wedding day a hundred times, this is one thing I would NEVER change.

Lastly, the reception outfit. The photos speak for themselves. If you’re contemplating a reception look, 10/10 recommend.
