If you are a bride, you are more than likely in the process of scouring Pinterest ohhing and awwing over gorgeous wedding bouquets. Yet chances are, you are completely lost on designing YOUR dream wedding bouquet and overwhelmed with different wedding bouquet terminology. Don’t worry, I understand. As a bride once, I often dreamed about my wedding bouquet but had no idea all the correct terminology to even be able to tell my florist what I was envisioning.
2019 Wedding Bouquet Trend
Now to the good stuff. Forget the traditional Round bouquet. 2019 wedding bouquet trends are eating up the cascading, crescent, hand tied, loose, and asymmetrical style. Today’s wedding bouquet trends are wonderful for high-end, elegant weddings, as well as for the modest bride. Wedding bouquet styles should compliment the overall feel of the wedding day–modern, romantic, whimsical, bohemian, rustic. The crescent-shaped bouquet is an excellent choice for brides that want to make a statement with their bouquet. Crescent shaped wedding bouquet’s are modern, romantic, and whimsical. Hand-tied wedding bouquet, are a loose, wide assortment of blooms and greenery, secured with ribbon. Hand-tied wedding bouquets are a great way to incorporate the wedding colors using ribbon, draping loosely and gracefully.
Nancy Lobo Designs, a Southern California Florist based in Fallbrook, created three different wedding bouquets in different color schemes to highlight 2019 wedding bouquet trends. Nancy highlighted the 2019 wedding bouquet trend of loose and airy styles using color rich blooms. Learn more what Nancy from Nancy Lobo Designs inspiration behind her wedding bouquets:
My intention with these bouquets was to take some traditional flowers, such as mini carnations, tulips, lilies, mums, and roses, that we would see in the 80’s and do a fresh take on them. Each bouquet is unique but are all more of a loose and airy style highlighting 2019’s wedding bouquets trend.
Nancy Lobo Designs Pro Tip: Don’t hesitate to move away from what you’ve been seeing (example: roses and ranunculus) and make one large bloom the focal point of the wedding bouquet instead of just sporadic blooms filling the bouquet.

KAP’s Pro Tips:
PRO TIP: Make your bridal bouquet a big priority. Your bridal bouquet is a focal point and sets the tone to your wedding day. I highly recommend getting your dream bouquet. Instead, invest less on the bridesmaids bouquets since they will not be photographed nearly as much!
PRO TIP 2: Ask your florist to include any extra or leftover stems and/or greenery they have from your wedding bouquet so your photographer can work with them while photographing your wedding details–extra blooms and/or greenery look stunning surrounding your wedding stationary!
