This Claremont Village engagement session is so near and dear to my heart. Genevieve and I have known each other since…forever. You see, Genevieve is my COUSIN! Her and I practically grew up together until she moved to Alabama when we were in elementary. We have always stayed in touch and when I heard she got engaged, I was over the moon with excitement for her. Now, when she asked me to be her WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, I about died with excitement. I am counting down the days until I get to celebrate with them in Alabama this September.

Genevieve and Tyler were coming to Claremont, CA for Christmas so we decided to take this opportunity to do their engagement session. During their planning, Genevieve and I talked about incorporating our family and love for Claremont. What a better way than our uncles restaurant–The Back Abbey. If you like beer and amazing food–this place is a must try and I am not just saying that. Their burgers are to die for and their fries are heavenly. And the crab cakes. Oh gosh–just try everything! You can’t go wrong. The Back Abbey was the perfect location for us to just sit down, catch up, and to hear all about their wedding plans. Afterwards, we finished up their Claremont Village engagement session at Scripps College.

While I have known Genevieve since forever, it was such a fun time getting to know Tyler. Tyler and Genevieve met in college but the timing wasn’t right. The stars aligned though and Genevieve and Tyler’s sister became best friends. It was apparent during their Claremont Village engagement session that Tyler and Genevieve were made for each other. I couldn’t be more happy that my cousin has found someone that compliments her and fits so well into her life but also our family’s. Afterwards, I can say with certainty their wedding in September is going to be one of a kind.
