So, you’re recently engaged and totally stressed out about where to take your engagement photos? Don’t worry, I got you and I promise you’re not alone!!!

When I first moved to Dallas, I felt like I was completely lost and starting over. Actually, half the time I was literally lost driving. If you were to ask where to take your engagement photos in California and I would have an arsenal at my finger tips. However, I quickly was able to find some of amazing locations for engagement session in Dallas. Plus, it was fun going on daily adventures location scouting!

Let’s be honest. Engagement sessions are the best part of the wedding experience. I love getting to spend time with my couples and getting to know them more. Engagement sessions also help the wedding day smoother because ya’ll are used to being in front of the camera and feel more at ease. It also allows me to get to really know the best ways to pose and prompt you. However, I know that engagement session planning can be stressful and that’s where I come in. That is why I send all couples helpful information to help them prep for their session so the experience can be fun and stress free.

Top Dallas Engagement Session Locations

White Rock Lake

White Rock Lake Engagement Sessions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

This location is clearly one of KAP couples favorite. Likely due to the variety that it offers such as open fields, trees, and lake views with a dock. Pro tip: White Rock Lake is pretty large. Be sure to have a meeting spot beforehand!

Downtown Dallas

Downtown Dallas Engagement Session Locations: 1, 2, 3, 4

This location offers a large variety of places to explore such as the Winspear Opera House, UNT Law Building, parking garages, and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. The locations in downtown Dallas are endless with so many areas to explore.

Deep Ellum or Bishop Arts District

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens Engagement Sessions: 1, 2

Pro tip: The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens does not allow outfit changes within the gardens. It also only allows sessions during opening hours. This makes it somewhat difficult when the sun sets later in the day. There are also additional fees for the Dallas Arboretum for admission and parking. Also, since COVID, you must purchase admission prior due to them limiting the amount of admissions per day.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve – Plano, Texas

Texas Discovery Gardens

Texas Discovery Gardens Engagement Session: 1, 2

Pro tip: there is a $100 – $125 fee for sessions at the Texas Discovery Gardens. Sessions must also be scheduled and approved two weeks prior to the session. You can find all information here: photoshoot information.
